The Platinum Cat Production team can breathe a big sigh of
relief as the filming of Suave Dates comes close to an end. Following 2 months of filming three dating
game shows, three dates and matching three winning couples together the result
is looking exciting.
Game show host Mr Cee, who is popularly known in the
entertainment circuit as a talented and witty stand up comedian, brings an
added level of laughter and fun to the show.
The complementary role of co-host Heaven Afrika, remembered on TV for
her captivating time in the Big Brother House 2011, makes the show come alive
and one to watch out for.
The first series of Suave Dates will comprise of 6 episodes
and not only will it present three fun game shows and dates, but also
performances by touring UK artists. Not
to be missed are these culturally dynamic performances featured in episode 2, 4
and 6.
Bashiyra, who is one of London’s
finest soultresses and has shared the stage with artists such as, Patti
LaBelle, Karyn White, Diana Ross, Marsha Ambrosius, Michael Bolton and Queen,
is featured in episode 2.
She performs her track ‘The You in Me’ as the theme song for
the dating show. The track, written by
Bashiyra and produced by Cool Million remained at number one in The Essence of
Soul, Independent Chart Show for four weeks.
She is also the first Independent artist to hold a world record for
having four concurrent singles in the charts at the same time which included
the track ‘The You in Me’.
The show is packed with talent and also captures some
spontaneous singing from a couple of the contestants bringing exposure to the
hidden talent that often goes undiscovered.
Mr Cee, one of the game show hosts and Comedian says Suave Dates is totally unique as it infuses the rich mix of culture of each contestant & highlights their personality whilst making their choices and expressing their opinions in love. Along the way we get a glimpse of their world through music and laughter and see how our matched couple fair, in this colourful game of love.
We also caught up with the director and creator of the show,
Shanice Lindsay who gave us an insight in to out what’s happening next. She informed us that “Platinum Cat
Productions are planning to launch episode 1 as a pilot web series during
summer 2014 however the ultimate aim is to have all 6 episodes screened on TV
here in the UK and in the Caribbean.”
